Accurate Survey & Layout

Every project begins with a proper measurement and layout to ensure:

  • Placement within property boundaries
  • Square corners and correct dimensions
  • Proper finished elevation and drainage

This prevents costly mistakes, additional charges from your garage builder, and ensures precision from the start.

 Excavation & Footings

A quality foundation starts with a footing or monolithic edge installed to the proper depth.  Our customers in Cecil County need to be 32" below finished grade, Harford County will need to be 30" below, and our customers in Chester County, Pa need to be 36" below the finished grade. Perimeter footings are installed to:

  • Support load-bearing walls
  • Prevent frost movement
  • Reduce cracking and settling

Reinforcement, Correct Thickness, & Mix Design

We install properly spaced rebar reinforcement. FiberMesh is also added to the mix. Both provide tensile strength and crack control. Slab thickness is determined by use, typically:

  • 4"–5" for standard residential garage slabs
  • 6-7" for heavy duty applications
  • 8" for industrial use
  • Thickened edges where required

We use a minimum 4,000 PSI concrete mix. This mix meets or exceeds requirements for most applications.
