Cecil County Permit Processing
- Permit processing hours are 8 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Permit application must be completed by the owner of the property, authorized representative of the owners, or a licensed contractor.
- A $10 non-refundable application technology processing fee will be required at the time of application. Payment may be made by cash, check, money order, or certain credit cards. There is a third-party convenience / transaction fee when paying via credit card.
- Building Permit fee will be due prior to issuance of the approved permit.

- All applications ask for the property account information. This information can be obtained by visiting the State Department of Assessment and Taxation's Real Property Data Search or by perusing property tax records.
- If the property is within the incorporated Town limits of Cecilton, Chesapeake City, Charlestown, North East, Perryville, or Port Deposit, their approval documentation must be submitted with the permit application.
- If the property is within the incorporated Town limits of Elkton or Rising Sun, please contact their respective town halls for the entire permitting process.
- For CONCRETE projects a permit will be required for almost all projects except 3' sidewalks
